Instructions for use

Directionality
All VOVOX sound conductors are directional. Depending on which end is used as ‘input’ or ‘output’ the sound transmission properties are different. An optimal result is only possible when the correct connection is used:

Connect the end of the sound conductor marked with the VOVOX® label to the signal receiver.

In case of wrong alignment, VOVOX sound conductors will work properly, and there will be no damage to the connected equipment. But to optimize the cable’s use, follow the directions above.

Optimal cable length
Although we are glad to sell as much as possible, shorter conductors do offer better sound quality. The laws of physics show us that many of the properties of cables are directly linked to their length. As a result, the shorter the cable, the smaller the change in sound. For the same reason, loudspeaker cables should be the same length on the left and the right channel.

Noise
Generally speaking, VOVOX direct sound conductors offer even better sound quality than the respective VOVOX protect versions. On the other hand, there is a risk of hum or noise depending on the connected equipment and the surrounding conditions. The following chart shows you how to find the best-suited conductor in a specific case:

Handling and maintenance
VOVOX® sound conductors are high-tech products and require some special care to keep them at their best:

  • Avoid unnecessary tension
  • After use, wind up the cable properly without knots and kinks
  • Avoid extreme bending
